Back on June 24th the Ridge Road Fire Dist. responded to the reported smoke in the house. Yesterday ten year old Andrew Trammel received the “Fire and Life Safety Award” from the district for his actions in alerting his family of the fire and making sure their house was evacuated. Andrew was able to come up to the fire house to receive his award and have dessert with the firefighters. Congrats Andrew on a job well done.

What hwappened August 31?

This past week Splash Car Wash allowed us and several other town Fire Departments to utilize their existing building on Long Pond Rd that will be torn down tomorrow. We are extremely thankful for the opportunity to have hands-on training on these commercial structures before they are affected by fire. 4 Fire Departments and over 100 firefighters in the town spent the past 7 days working 8-10 hours a day in this building to sharpen their skills.
We are excited to see the new Splash Car Wash when they are finished with construction!
